The outer structure of the vending machine consists of 15mm MDF planks, which will enclose the snack holder, the motion system, the screen, and the electronics. The first image shows the front view of the vending machine, which have two windows for the snacks rows, a cutoff in the lower part to allow the user to retrieve the snack, and another cutoff in the right to mount the touch screen and the NFC reader.
The next image provides a look of the six snack compartments layout, and the coupler in the back.
The image below shows all the components of the motion system. The red components are part of the vertical axis of the machine, they are responsible for supporting the guides for the horizontal axis. The blue elements are part of the horizontal axis of the machine, they provide the guides for the product dispenser motor. The yellow element in the picture is the carrier of the product dispenser motor, that will be moved by another motor to engage the coupler with the product dispenser.
The drawing below shows with more detail the components that compose the product dispenser mechanism. The yellow component is the driver gear that will be connected to the motor that will connect with the other gear (in green). The other green component holds the spiral that will contain the products.
The next drawings show the measurements of the MDF parts of the vending machine and provides an overview of the components that will be 3D printed.
